Pivot Steer Truck training in Derby
Pivot steer and articulated trucks share a hinged chassis; the pivot steer category covers machines that steer by bending the frame rather than turning the wheels.

About the pivot steer truck
Pivot steer is the accredited-body category for trucks that steer through a central pivot in the chassis. In practice this covers the Bendi, Flexi and similar articulated counterbalance trucks, and some training bodies issue the certificate under this name rather than "articulated". We list it separately because customers search for both terms and employers' insurers sometimes ask for the certificate by this name.
The handling points are the same as for any articulated machine: the operator must think about where the mast will swing, how the rear of the truck tracks, and how a raised load changes stability when the frame is bent. Yard driving, vehicle loading and racking work are all covered.
If you are unsure which category your truck falls into, send us the make and model and we will confirm the correct certificate before booking.
