Conversion Forklift Training in Derby
For certificated operators moving onto a different type of truck: counterbalance to reach, reach to VNA, and so on. One to two days.
A forklift certificate is specific to a category of truck. An experienced counterbalance driver who is put on a reach truck without training is as much at risk as a novice, because the controls, visibility and handling are different. Conversion training bridges that gap efficiently.
The instructor skips the general theory the candidate already knows and concentrates on the new truck: its controls, its stability characteristics and the tasks it will be used for. The candidate then takes the full practical test for the new category and receives a certificate for it.
Conversion is the usual route when a business adds a new type of truck or an operator changes department.
